Peter Dahlhaus

 

 

 

 

Peter Dahlhaus is a specialist in the broad disciplines of hydrogeology, engineering geology, and environmental geology. He holds a Masters Degree in Engineering Geological Mapping from RMIT and a PhD from Flinders University Centre for Groundwater Studies on the topic of Salinity Risk in the Corangamite Region. In a career spanning over 30 years, Peter has worked in geotechnical consultancy, the Geological Survey of Victoria, the Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works, and the University of Ballarat, where he currently maintains a part-time academic position as a researcher in hydrogeology, engineering geology and geomorphology. His research is often undertaken collaboratively with CSIRO, Flinders University and the Department of Primary Industries. 

Over the past decade Peter has been consulting to municipalities, government agencies and agricultural industries in South West Victoria, specialising in hydrogeological assessments and risk management of geological hazards. Peter serves on committees with the Corangamite CMA and is a member of the Victorian Geomorphology Reference Group.
